Ch. II
Chapter Two is up, and revised. Hurrah! After I posted it, I went through and revised it. It took two hours, but I think it’s much better now. I expect that I’ll revise earlier portions some as I write, but that remains to be seen. I don’t expect to change anything major. I’ll just twitch bits here and there if I notice something.
It’s took me about ten hours to write this chapter today, but I expect that’s a bit more than most chapters will take. I expect four to six, and I’m aiming for around 3500-4000 words per chapter.
I have lots of ideas in mind for this novel, and a general plot worked out. I know where it’s going, but not exactly how each step will be accomplished. It makes it more fun to write that way, and the story grows along the way. Allen is already starting to take on a life of his own, although he’s still sort of an embryo. I’m looking forward to finding out what happens.
More characters will be added in the coming chapters. And I’ll get around to writing chapters from the perspective of his mother and sister soon too.
